BOROUGH ANNOUNCES NEW MAJOR PARTNER
Port Melbourne Football Club (PMFC) are delighted to announce that today it has signed a new two year deal with The Plumbing and Pipe Trades Employees Union – Victorian Branch (PPTEU) for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The PPTEU joins our existing major partners CFMEU & ETU as our key partners.
The PPTEU is the industrial Union representing licensed plumbers and related workers in water, fire, sanitary and mechanical plumbing industries. Similar to PMFC, it has a strong and proud history dating back over 110 years and recently announced its own AFL/VFL Plumbers “Team of the Century”
PMFC President Michael Shulman says of the new partnership “The addition of the PPTEU to our partnership portfolio is significant and a perfect fit for our club. They have a strong community background and are major supporters of grass roots clubs such as ours.”.
Earl Setches, PPTEU Secretary, commented that “it was an obvious partnership for us given the Borough’s strong and proud history and the similarities of the two organisations. We are committed to all things community and will stand alongside our fellow unions and the Club in the coming years. We look forward to building a long-lasting partnership and are very excited to be a part of this iconic club” Setches added.
PMFC is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2024, a huge milestone that will provide opportunities for partners and fans alike to engage further with the club. The timing of this partnership is ideal and we also look forward to another successful “tradies” day in 2024.
