It is with regret that we announce that after 18 months at helm of the Port Melbourne Football Club, our CEO Glenn Robertson has tendered his resignation to commence the next chapter of his life.
Glenn has been instrumental in the establishment of our Women’s team and our much improved Club Membership and Club Partnership programs. Glenn has also played an active role in the ground re-development through his dealings with the City of Port Phillip and AFL/Vic since his appointment last year.
Glenn’s community engagement initiatives include Reclink, MS Foundation, The Alannah & Madeline Foundation and the Port Phillip Specialist School.
Glenn first joined the Club in 1982 as a player. He played 62 games, was part of the 1982 Premiership team, Best & fairest Winner in 1983 and captained the Club in 1985. Glenn has been a director of the Club for a number of years on various occasions and has been involved with the Past Players committee for 16 years. Glenn was appointed as CEO in 2017 and was instrumental in assisting proactive management of our financial difficulties in what was a premiership year.
Glenn will be sorely missed and his devotion and contribution to all aspects of the Club has made a positive contribution to where the Club currently sits.
The Club would like to wish Glenn all the best in his future endeavours and obviously welcome him at all PMFC events/games etc. into the future.
