Former Fremantle listed player Tobe Watson is the clubs second recruiting announcement this off season, committing to the Borough for season 2024.
The 191cm Defender joins after two seasons with Swan Districts in the WAFL, averaging 18 disposals and 5 marks a game this season.
Watson, aged 25, has AFL experience after being drafted from Swan Districts to the Fremantle Dockers with pick 22 in the 2019 rookie draft, playing 14 games before being delisted at the end of season 2021.
With a great ability to intercept and his ball use out of defence, Tobe will be a great addition to the Borough defence.
Speaking about his move to the Borough, Watson said “I am very excited at the opportunity to make the trip across the Nullarbor to play for the Borough. The support from everyone already at the club has been amazing and made my decision very easy. I can’t wait to play my part and see how far this group can go in 2024”
We welcome Tobe and his partner Anthea to the Port Melbourne Football Club.
