Former Tiger signs with Port Melbourne

21-year-old, Will Martyn has joined the Port Melbourne Football Club after two years on Richmond’s AFL list.

The inside midfielder played 3 games for Richmond in the AFL and 27 games in their VFL side over 2021 and 2022. Martyn averaged 18 disposals over 10 games in 2022, with a season-high 29 disposals against Williamstown in round 18.

“I am super excited to join Port Melbourne and looking forward to pulling on the jumper and getting stuck into training,” says Martyn.

Round 13 in 2021 against Collingwood VFL saw Martyn rack up a career-high 31 disposals and 13 tackles. In 2021 he won Richmond’s VFL Best and Fairest and more recently came runners-up in 2022.

“We are excited to bring in a player of Will’s caliber. He is a super hard worker and has good ability inside the contest and on the outside,” says Head Coach, Adam Skrobalak.

“Will fills a key need in our midfield and we are very excited to have him in a Port Melbourne jumper.”
