Giant VFL star makes his way to Port Melbourne

By Borough Media on December 2, 2022

20-year-old Josh Green makes the move down to Victoria to play for the Borough in 2023.

Green has been recruited from the GWS Giants VFL side after a standout 2022 season in the orange and charcoal, where he finished second in their best and fairest count.

Averaging 18.5 disposals in his 14 games in 2022, the 192cm midfielder will bring elite decision making and clean disposal efficency. Green racked up 27 disposals against the Gold Coast Suns and Williamstown in rounds 13 and 16 respectively.

“Josh will be a great addition to our midfield with his clean hands, ball use, and ability to break out of stoppage that saw him play some great football at VFL level for GWS this year. He also has the versatility to play around the ground and to make the decision to move interstate to join our club shows the commitment Josh has to taking his football to the next level and we look forward to seeing what he can do,” says Football Manager, Glenn Balmforth.
