Over the next few weeks, we will begin to communicate the re-signings and comings and goings for season 2024 for both VFL and VFLW Programs. We are delighted to kick things off and we are pleased to welcome South Fremantle key forward/ruck Jimmy Miller to the Borough for the 2024 VFL Season.
At 26 years of age and with 81 games of Senior State League football under his belt with both Frankston and South Fremantle, the 195cm Miller will add some further experience to the forward line with his strong overhead marking ability and powerful right leg, which will no doubt trouble opposition defenders.
On joining the Borough, Miller expressed his excitement saying “I’m so pleased to be joining a club with such a rich history and culture. I am excited to meet the players, coaches and staff and get stuck in to a big pre season”
With one of the recruiting focuses for the Borough leading in to season 2024 being to add additional firepower to it’s forward line, Miller will bring plenty of experience from his time playing state league, which includes a WAFL premiership with South Fremantle in 2020.
On the signing, Football Manager Glenn Balmforth said “We have tracked Jimmy for a couple of seasons now and when the opportunity for him to potentially return to Victoria opened up, we were straight on to it. We feel we are building a strong forward unit with young guys like Archi Manton, Felix Flockart continuing to build and Jimmy’s experience and ability will certainly add another component to that, which will no doubt excite Borough fans”
We welcome Jimmy to the Borough!
