The club is excited to announce Jordan Mifsud as the newest VFLW recruit for the 2024.

After 2 seasons with Box Hill Jordan said “I think a fresh start will really push me to continue to improve my game, under new coaches that will support me to focus on areas I still have a lot of room to develop.”

Mifsud was the joint winner of the 2023 Lambert-Pearce medal (VFLW League Best & Fairest) after averaging 19 disposals, 11 contested possessions & 10 tackles across all 14 home & away matches for Box Hill Hawks. She was also crowned back to back (2022-23) Box Hill VFLW Best & Fairest winner.

Some of her biggest strengths are her leadership & contested ball. She loves to empower others to believe in themselves, organising people and working hard to achieve results.

“I’m really keen to get stuck into preseason and getting to know the staff, team and supporters better at Port. It’s always exciting starting a new chapter somewhere and after hearing and seeing how great a club Port Melbourne are, I’m very happy to be playing here next season.”

The outlook for the upcoming season is bright, “Although I have a number of goals for next year, I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to achieve the ultimate team success by winning a premiership, something that I haven’t yet experienced in my five years of footy.

The Borough gets there preseason started in just a few weeks and everyone will be keen to see Jordan complimenting those returning from 2023’s successful season.

Our aim is to build a strong foundation that is both professional and sustainable and sets Port Melbourne Football Club up as a destination club for female and male footballers, coaches, staff and volunteers.
