The Port Melbourne Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of youngster Geordie Nagle for season 2019.
Nagle joins the Borough having been listed with VFL rivals the Box Hill Hawks in 2018, but spent the majority of the season with De La Salle in the VAFA.
A medium defender, Nagle won the Sandringham Dragons’ TAC Cup Best and Fairest two years ago and also represented this year’s Under 19’s VAFA team as vice-captain (pictured).
As well as representing the VAFA with Under 19 honours, Nagle played under the Borough’s Development Coach Trent McMicking in this year’s AFL Victoria Young Guns Series.
Despite only turning 19 this coming Sunday, Nagle has already got an expansive football CV and built a strong reputation as a mature, professional, hard-working and reliable defender.
We welcome Geordie to the Borough for next season, look forward to seeing him on the track during pre-season; and of course, wish him the very best of luck!
