WHO WE ARE

The Port Melbourne Football Club, also known as the Borough, is a prominent Australian rules football club based in Port Melbourne, Victoria. Established in 1874, it is one of the oldest football clubs in Australia. Over the years, the club has built a rich history and has been a consistent presence in Victorian football.

Teams:

The Borough competes in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Victorian Football League Women’s (VFLW) competitions. The VFL & VFLW competitions are operated by the Australian Football League (AFL) and is its second-tier, semi-professional competition.

Known as the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) until 1996, the men’s team is the most decorated VFL/VFA club in the competition boasting 17 premierships. In 2016 the Victorian Football League Women’s (VFLW) was introduced Borough Women’s team joined the competition in 2021 and won the club’s first VFLW flag in 2023.
