CEO Update – 28/5/2021

As you will have heard this weekend rounds of VFLW and VFL games have been postponed due to the governments Circuit Breaker (7 day lockdown)

Obviously, we are all extremely disappointed that we will have no football this weekend and unfortunately our planned night game next Thursday will also not go ahead.

It is lucky that when setting up the season with the AFL we allowed for some byes in both the VFLW and VFL draws in case there was time lost due to lockdowns or border issues.

I am working with the AFL and the other clubs on how the rounds will look moving forward and we will keep you updated as we progress.

The key thing for everyone involved with the Borough right now is to ensure that we all stay safe, we adhere to the lockdown rules and We take two key actions
• If you have any symptoms get tested
• If you haven’t had a vaccination, go and get one as soon as you can
Don’t forget our partners at Port Melbourne medical clinic are running their vaccination clinic in the Sandridge event centre so if your over 50 jump on their website (Home – Port Melbourne Medical) book yourself in and come and say hi when you get your jab (If your not over 50 keep an eye on their website as they hope to have Pfizer on offer soon also)

Until my next update stay safe, keep well and “Go the Borough”
